Meta'l Jewelry Studio

Meta'l Jewelry Studio was founded in the summer of 2024 with a vision to create an inspiring, creative haven for metal artists of all levels. We proudly opened our doors and began hosting our first classes and workshops in 2025—a milestone made possible through a foundational partnership with the NMSU STEM Outreach department. This collaboration allows us to offer fully funded classes and workshops to K-12 students, teachers, and families, ensuring the metal arts remain accessible to the next generation of makers.

Since our launch, we’ve been committed to fostering a love for metalsmithing, providing exceptional education, and opening our specialized studio and professional tools to the wider community. We are especially proud to have expanded our reach through the DD (Developmental Disabilities) Waiver program, ensuring our space is truly inclusive.

Over the years, we’ve had the joy of hosting vibrant local organizations, including the NMSU Metals Club, Nature Friends, Women Who Explore, and the Las Cruces Metals Guild. While our roots and equipment are tailored for dedicated metalsmithing, we actively celebrate interdisciplinary creativity and welcome diverse materials and practices into our space.

Our extensive collection of tools and equipment is meticulously maintained and organized to support all your metalsmithing endeavors:

Our studio is fully equipped to support your creative journey—whether you're soldering your first ring or building a complex piece. The space features seven student benches with individual Foredom Flex Shafts, a dedicated ventilation room for safe processing, and organized tool hubs designed for smooth collaboration. For larger groups, our main table easily expands for workshops, design sessions, and community meetings.

Crucially, our space is powered by seven wonderful studio monitors who keep our doors open for Open Studio time, bringing a wealth of expertise, encouragement, and guidance to our makers. From basic fundamentals to advanced metalsmithing, we provide the tools, space, and supportive team to help your craft thrive.
